We plan to stop every 5 kilometers along a specified path and do a cast. Each cast gives conductivity (salinity),temperature, and depth (CTD) readings as well as collecting 11 water samples for analysis and getting current measuments with an upward looking ADCP. We broke off for a couple of hours before noon to recover 2 ADCPs and a guard buoy.
On a more personal note, WHOI's John Kemp, on the left recovering an ADCP, is our deck boss and a recent Chemotherapy graduate.
John wants to thank all the nurses at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth for the
good time they showed him while he was there!
