From mignight to 6am the wind was ~40 knots with some gusts to 60 knots! Then the wind died, the sea began to lay down, and by 9AM, the seasoar was back in the water doing the eastern legs of the study area. Since it looks like we'll lose 1-2 days due to bad weather this weekend, we decided to pull out the VLA and the "Shark". From looking at the data it looks like we lost a few days on the "Shark" and a few hydrophones on the VLA (presumably from the beating they took from the weather), but we still got a rich data set for doing acoustic tomography. The thermistors on the VLA also show more structure and a much more dynamic time series than was expected.
