Sounds from the South China Sea during ASIAEX 2001

The arrow above points to the time of this audio clip. This sound came from one of two fishing vessels that were nearby. The 'stripes' in the spectrogram above are due to acoustic interference patterns, i.e. sound waves taking various paths from the ship to the receiver creating constructive and destructive interference. This is a commonly observed phenomenon.
